My SchoolDesk was started when Walton High School approached me about building an attendance application to solve their biggest problem: student check-ins and dismissals. Their existing process relied on abundant email communication with students, parents, and teachers, and they wanted a way to simplify the whole process. However, through brainstorming with the school, we realized that it made the most since to build a full-on attendance management application, with standard features like class attendance as well as more specific features like check-in and dismissal management and student safety management.
